We get to see the future of racing in Hi-Octane, where hover cars loaded to the gills with weapons are the race vehicles. You can choose from six different cars with different attributes, but all of them are loaded with shields, mini-guns, and missiles. Lean into the turns and learn the hazards of a particular track with the Single Race mode. Those in for the long haul should play the Championship mode and race on all nine tracks. If dealing with other racers causes pain, play a Clone Race and have a time trial against an identical car. For those with a violent streak, Death Match places you in an arena with seven other cars, where the last car running wins. If you have friends that want to play, use the two-player split-screen option or the eight-player hot seat option. We have seen the future of racing, and it is Hi-Octane.
