Get ready for some fast sports action in PITBALL. The game takes place in arenas located on several planets scattered throughout a fictional galaxy. Each team's competitors fight for control of the energized Pitball, using attack moves both complex and simple. Once the Pitball is in possession, the player attempts to shoot it into the goal, which is a tiny hole at the top of the pit wall. With either fast but weak or slow yet strong teams to match your style of play, the variety of maneuvers and attacks results in some very exciting matches. The Season mode is great: using a combination of in-the-pit and behind-the-scenes maneuvering, it allows players to take a team and guide it from the bottom to the top. It's even possible to let the computer play the matches, which comes in handy when you'd prefer to rest your tired thumbs and focus on management.
