Kum Lhau, a veteran secret agent of Republic of Vieng, is assigned to investigate dangerous terrorists in Thailand. Khamlao is een geheim agent uit de provincie Wongnailum. Die provincie deelt het ISAN-dialect en de cultuur met het buurland Thailand (gelijk aan Laos). Hij wordt geplaatst in Bangkok voor een geheime missie met als doel terroristen te localiseren. Om dat mogelijk te maken gaat hij undercover als een Luk Thung zanger die werkt voor een platenlabel dat dienst doet als dekmantel voor dealers in wapens van massavernietiging.
