Football has hits, hockey and basketball have some brawls. Speedball, however, has an assortment of arms and eyes bobbing in buckets of blood. Speedball has only two goals: 1) Put the chromium ball in the net, and 2) Hurt your opponent badly. Take control of one of 16 futuristic cyber squads, like Brutal Deluxe and the Raw Messiahs, as you shoot for the World Speedball (WSL) championship. You can take full managerial control of your team and deliver pain from the sidelines, and you can buy and sell players with the push of a button. There's one rule we forgot to mention: your team gets 10 points for every opponent that leaves the field on his back. The 3D graphics are sharp and the AI is smart, so be ready for some intense gameplay. Go at it in Arcade mode, or get yourself in a Tournament. Of course, you'll also want to match up with a friend and knock his team into next week in the Multiplayer mode.
