Post Description
Folk, American.
Rooted in American folk with a spirit made for the stage, Late for the Train is an Occidental, California based band composed of Dave Pascoe (guitar), Laura Benson (fiddle), Thom Beneduci (upright bass), and Bud Dillard (mandolin). Their proprietary blend of thoughtful songwriting and jam-driven energy creates live shows that feel uplifting, soulful, and deeply connected to people and place.
Shifting away from the guest-heavy setup of their previous record, the group returns to the focused live dynamic honed over nine years of touring, centered around acoustic guitar, fiddle, mandolin, and upright bass.
The album features ten original tracks co-written by Dave and Laura. Blending intimate personal reflections with subtle mythological motifs, these songs navigate human experience and the search for meaning within a changing natural landscape, striking a balance between elegy and celebration.
